How to Make iPhone/ 3G Ringtones Yourself

I will be showing you how to make ringtones from any song in your iTunes library (Windows ONLY) for free without have to pay to make a song from iTunes crappy ringtone list or any programs other than iTunes.. Its simple and easy to do
I HAVE FOUND THE SOLUTION TO WHERE IT APPEARS AS A BUNCH OF COPYS OF ONE RINGTONE IN THE CUSTOM RINGTONES SECTION ON YOUR IPHONE!
I will post a video explaining how to fix this problem .. it is very simple Thank you!

*** Instead of draging the ringtone to the desktop all your have to do is right click the song in iTunes and press open in explorer then rename it from .m4a to .m4r

** UPDATE - This works with iTunes 7.6 and 1.1.3 (New Update)
sry if the video speed it a little to fast i needed to make it less than 10 so i went for around 5-6 mins

u cant convert bought itunes songs to AAC. It has to be music from a cd u uploaded or from somewhere else

Great stuff, it worked on my first try! So far, there's only been one song from my itunes library that it wouldn't convert to AAC, all others coverted fine.
Just be sure to uncheck the "start" and "stop" time on the song info when you're done so when you go to play it on your phone, it plays the whole song.

when i copy the song to my desktop it just says the song name, not .m4a.. it says .m4a if i look in the properties but i cant click or highlight it to change it to .m4r
